Dohyo Of Trees Sumo Club was started by Sonya and Miguel del Gallego, a Sacramento couple with a love of all forms of wrestling and strength competition.  After spending a year practicing with the Bay Area group Nor Cal Sumo, they decided it was time to share their love of an ancient sport with their hometown!  Dohyo Of Trees is a sanctioned club through the US Sumo Federation and participates in events throughout the nation.
